The Digital Piggy Bank

Acorns is an awesome way to invest especially for the inexperienced investor. It's not going to get you rich, but it will allow you to save your spare change electronically. For those who are not familiar with Acorns just think of it as investing money every time you make a purchase because it is tied to your bank account. Also, the company is partnered with certain vendors and if you make purchases through those vendors, they will invest a percentage of your purchase or a set dollar amount in your Acorns account.

A year ago, I made an initial investment of  $100 with Acorns. For the first six months I invested $5 a week along with the spare change of every single purchase I made. After six months I increased my weekly investment to $15 a week. I made a total of 11 associated vendor purchases that totaled $47.49 and in one year I reached $1908.79. Currently I am at a market gain of 10.81%.

I did not have a goal in mind when I started. My sole purpose for joining Acorns was to demonstrate that you do not have to have thousands of dollars to start investing. Most people still think they do not have money to invest, but I along with the help of Acorns debunked that myth. With Acorns, I am making an investment with every single financial transaction I make. Also, Kevin Durant has a stake in Acorns and if it's good enough for him then it's good enough for me. Visit Acorns for more information because anyone can grow wealth.
