Hanging With The Turners (HWTT) was launched in 2016 as a way to chronicle our family interactions, provide advice and suggestions as well as share ideas about family. Our hope is to inspire and motivate families through our activities and experience.

HWTT is all about family, sports and lifestyle. We provide thoughtful insight on our events through blog posts, original photography and social media. Happy hanging!

Last Day of Swim Club

Last Day of Swim Club

The Swim Club was a two month training and conditioning program to get them used to swimming the full length of a high school pool. At the start of the program, although all of the kids were successful many of the kids had difficulties swimming the distance. By the end of the program the kids were swimming the 25 yard distance down and back with ease.

My son increased his endurance and learned how to do the backstroke. While competitive swimming is the goal, the purpose of the Swim Club is for the kids to improve their swimming technique and enjoy the water. Drew is a much stronger swimmer and I am sure he will be able to improve on what he has learned as soon as Resort 112 is open for the summer. For his effort he received a participation towel for attending the program.

All kids love the pool so be sure to check with your local high school or recreation centers for a variety of swim classes and programs that may be offered during the summer.
