A Very Happy Birthday
My oldest son had an incredible birthday week. He enjoyed an unplanned road trip in which we went to Minute Maid Park and SunTrust Park. He had a birthday party at the Sky Zone and afterwards he had a pool party at the house. Plus he spent a lot of time with family. He saw the Nationals play at Nationals Park on Friday and Sunday and he collected two baseballs from two Nationals players including one on Sunday from one of his favorite players, center fielder Michael A. Taylor which made for a fantastic birthday gift.
During Sunday's game my wife and I arranged for his name to be displayed on the scoreboard to wish him a happy birthday. He was so excited to see his name displayed and the majority of the individuals in our section wished him a big happy birthday. Also, the mayor of our section arranged for him to get ice cream and a fresh baked cookie with a candle on it. When it arrived everyone around him started singing Happy Birthday to him. He had the biggest smile on his face. Even though the Nationals lost, I am sure he felt like a winner all week and weekend.
