Walk This Way
We spent our Friday evening at Nationals Park with one of my good buddies Greg Fox AKA The Big Hitter. It turned out to be one heck of a ballgame between the Nationals and Braves, but if you told me that the first eight innings I wouldn't have believed you. Scherzer was superb allowing two runs with 10 Ks before he exited the eighth with two runners on. The score was 2-1 and with one swing of the bat, the Braves were up 4-1 with both runs being charged to Scherzer.
With three outs, rally caps on, and the Drewmeister calling it a night; Harper started a six hit rally that tied the game up and sent the game to extra innings. The Nationals had a shaky start to the 10th, but they held firm and kept the Braves scoreless. Adrian Sanchez led off the inning with his first career hit and eventually Daniel Murphy hit a walk-off fly ball just deep enough to left field that allowed Sanchez to tag up from third and score the winning run. It was the Turners second walk-off this year! I can't wait until the next game!
