A Mother's Day Doubleheader
Fans tend to get a little carried away when it comes to bobblehead giveaways at the baseball stadiums. Although I have a very nice collection of sports memorabilia, I am not that big of a fan of these things. I have a couple of them, but I'm not going to get tickets to a game just because the Nationals are giving them away. Clearly I am in the minority based on the lines that stretched from the stadium entrance to the Buffalo Wild Wings!
The Turners have a half season plan, so we didn't have tickets to Trea Turner's bobblehead night. It happened to fall on the wrong day for us. But an awesome couple with season tickets said if I get them a bobblehead, I can have their two tickets. Plus I get to get my wife a bobblehead and I can attend the second game of a doubleheader for free? You don't have to threaten me with a good time!
Now I knew the boys wouldn't be able to do another nine innings, but surely I can get one of my road dawgs to go. But it is Mother's Day, so I knew more than likely I wiould have to go by myself. I put out a few feelers and I didn't get any takers but it worked out better because I was able to keep the extra bobblehead for my wife. I was even able to get the gentleman who controls our section a bobblehead. And I must say the Trea Turner bobbleheads might be the nicest ones I have seen. Even a gentleman outside the ballpark offered to buy mine. I told him thanks, but no thanks. So to the nice couple that sits with us in the Red Porch 100 section, you can hang with the Turners anytime! Thanks again for the tickets!
