Welcome To My House
The Turners were supposed to head north during this winter break, but my recent mic drop, karaoke performance of “My House” by Flo Rida had me second guessing that decision. My wife and I met in South Florida and it had been quite a while since we made it back to our second home. We’ve been to Orlando a couple times recently, but it had been a few years since we have been in Rick Ross’ backyard.
I wanted to fly, but since we made a last minute decision, driving was the only option. Driving doesn’t bother us as you can tell by our prior road trips. My model is, Have vehicle, will travel. The ride down took us an extra 2 hours because of the hellacious backups we experienced in South Carolina, but we made the most of it. The rest of the ride was smooth sailing. All 16 hours of it.
As soon as we arrived, we checked in to our hotel and quickly headed to Bayside so my wife and I could get a drink from Fat Tuesdays. I am not sure if we were allowed to take it back to the hotel room, but that’s exactly what we did. We spent the next morning at the pool. It's a good thing we chose Miami over Boston because the weather down here is beautiful.
