No Longer in Single Digits
While some are wrestling with getting their taxes done today, I was wrestling with the fact that my youngest boy is turning 10 years old. The time really goes by fast. You get so caught up with life, that if not for photos and videos, so many things would be forgotten. I would have no idea how my sons looked five years ago or even two years ago if not for media. I think Facebook does a great job of adding memories to users timelines which also helps in recalling past memories. When I had my oldest son, my mother told me to take lots of pictures and that's the same advice I always give to new parents.
Today, my wife took cupcakes to after care so the kids could share in our son's birthday celebration. My wife also made him a birthday cake and my wife, my son and I sang Happy Birthday to him to close out the evening. My sons aren't really into cake; they just like the idea of having a cake on their birthday as we all are. Looks like mom and dad will have a lot of birthday cake to cycle off. My son had a great day, but fortunately for him he has a lot more fun in store for him the rest of the week.
