Batman and Piggy
I promised the boys for about a month that I was going to take them to the Cheesecake Factory for brunch and I decided today was the day. They had a good couple of weeks. The oldest participated in an all day practice session last week with the county orchestra that was followed by a concert that afternoon. He also had a basketball game yesterday in which they lost, but he played really hard. The youngest successfully executed the slur technique on his cello this past week with some assistance from his brother and mother.
After brunch we returned home and watched the second and third quarter of the Warriors/Clippers game from last night so my boys could watch how unbelievable Steph Curry was the night before. We were at my brothers house last night so they weren’t able to watch him. I am glad I recorded it. The boys also completed their Legos they purchased from Christmas money they both received from their grandparents. The youngest is a big fan of The Angry Bird movie so he chose Piggy Pirate Ship and the oldest picked Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle from the Star Wars movie. They have quite the collection.
Once the Lego project was completed, I took the boys outside so one could work on his soccer skills while the other worked on basketball. Once I finished putting the boys through indivdual drills, I made my way to the deck and fired up the grill for Sunday dinner. All of that and we still managed to squeeze in a couple of movies, Big Hero 6 and Turbo.
Dad did his part. I’ll be watching basketball for the rest of the evening.
