Fall baseball season officially ended for the Turners the last weekend in October. I thought about relaxing, but that just isn't the Turner way. Instead, we decided on the first weekend of November to take a road trip to New Jersey so the boys could visit their grandparents. It was a planned trip, but it really wasn't planned. Meaning we have been planning to visit for quite sometime, but with the boys schedule and our hectic summer, we just haven't been able to find the time. The last time we were in New Jersey was during our TD Five Boro Bike Tour in which we were in a New York State of Mind. And we plan to do again in 2018 so who's coming with us?
While I was in Jersey, I started thinking this might be the last or one of the last times my wife will get to visit the house she grew up in because her parents are selling the house and purchasing a new home. I thought she would be a little more nostalgic, but when I asked her about it she said, "I kind of separated my thoughts from the house when I went off to college so it's not anything I thought about." I grew up in an apartment so I never thought much of it either. Anyway my wife was able to see her parents, aunt, two of her sisters and her cousin so although it was last minute; it was definitely worth the drive.
